Having written about a Tudor teaching sim yesterday, we have a slightly different themed sim today: Tombstone, Arizona: the wild west in the sim Broken Rose.
They ask that you dress appropriately throughout the sim. As a nice touch they provide free male and female costumes in the station where you arrive. I was actually there on another mission - helping the owner of the tavern sort out something she’d bought from me - but I was in an old fashioned style dress and that seemed acceptable to them too. There was, as you might guess, a fair amount of “Howdy-ing” and, although I didn’t interrupt it there was a gun-fight in the street when I went back to take photos.
There is a weapon system used throughout the sim which you have to buy to start, if you want to shoot people - at L$100 it’s not exactly steep mind you. There are a range of shops selling native and settler clothes, and both a settler town and a native village.
Western’s were never my thing I must be honest. This sim, however, is well worth a visit, and if you fancy yourself as a cowgirl or a brave, this would seem to be the place for you.
